Boiler & Water Treatment Technician

At Blue Paper, we’ve been making corrugated paper reels from 100% recovered cardboard since 2013.

We also produce green energy and treat 75% of our production waste in-house to produce the steam needed to manufacture our paper.

Due to a forthcoming retirement, we are looking for a Boiler & Water Treatment Technician to join our Production Department

Your tasks:

– Operate all the facilities in your sector (CSR, Step, Biomass, etc.),

– Continuously monitor the quality and quantity of energy in line with production requirements, as well as the quality and quantity of discharges,

– Regularly checking that the equipment and areas in his/her sector are in good condition (operation and cleanliness) during rounds in the field (particularly at height),

– Report any malfunctions and call in maintenance if necessary,

– Unload biomass from lorries, monitor its quality, supply the boiler and occasionally load OCC waste and/or bulk waste paper onto the pulper feed conveyor in liaison with the pulper driver,

– Carry out minor maintenance, repair and cleaning work on the equipment,

– Comply with the safety rules for driving trolleys and other equipment in the sector and fill in the logbooks for the trolleys used,

– Replace the Boiler and Water Treatment Operator in his/her absence.

Your working hours :

– 5X8 (2 mornings – 06H – 14H / 2 afternoons – 14H – 22H / 2nights – 22H – 06H and 4 days off)

Your profile:

Trained to degree level (BAC / BTS) in energy or electrical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial boilers (sandwich course allowed).

You have basic knowledge of :

– Steam (operating a gas boiler)

– Heating (gas burner)

– Electricity

– Regulation (programming, determining a heating curve)
