Boiler and water treatment technician

The Industrial Boiler and Water Treatment Technician is responsible for producing steam for the entire paper mill, and for ensuring that the quality and quantity of waste (flue gases, water after treatment in the natural environment, etc.) are compliant.
Working environment
At Blue Paper, the Industrial Boilers and Water Treatment Technician is part of a team of three technicians and works a shift pattern (8 consecutive hours) under the responsibility of the Industrial Boilers and Water Treatment Manager.
He/she will ensure that the plant and equipment are running smoothly. If steam production is interrupted, the whole plant grinds to a halt, along with the production of green electricity! You need to be able to work independently and have a good sense of priorities, because the choices you make affect the smooth running of the whole plant.
On a day-to-day basis, he/she is aware of the need for constant improvements to reduce waste and its impact on the environment.
The main interest of the job lies in the diversity of tasks, both administrative and manual, and in managing the unexpected.
Skills and qualifications
There are currently no specific qualifications. Experience or training in electromechanics at Bac or BTS level, as well as knowledge of automation, industrial IT and heat engineering are required.
There is an extensive in-house training programme for this position.
