Forklift operator

The forklift operator drives a motorised vehicle used to move goods within a factory.
He/she carries out all kinds of tasks: transport, storage and retrieval.
Working environment
In the company, the forklift operator is the intermediary between Production and the buyers or transport coordinators in the Supply Chain Department. He/she takes delivery of raw materials or other goods, unloads them and puts them away, or prepares orders by loading reels directly into the lorry in accordance with quality, safety and deadline procedures for our customers.
The forklift operator works as part of a team, either in alternating shifts (5X8 or 2X8), or during the day. He/she is under the responsibility of a team leader. He/she is in contact with drivers of all nationalities and must therefore enjoy communicating as well as being a good teacher, particularly when it comes to applying internal procedures.
The forklift operator must be vigilant both when driving and during handling operations.
Mastery of the IT tools at their disposal is essential for reading laser barcodes, recording entries and exits and controlling computerised equipment.
Skills and qualifications
BEP or CAP in Distribution and Warehousing.
Bac pro Logistics.
CQPI Logistics Agent, or professional experience as a forklift operator in industry.
