Gender Equality Index 2024

The professional equality obligation was introduced over 50 years ago, yet differences still persist. That’s why the Gender Equality Index was introduced in 2019 to provide a common yardstick for measuring inequalities in the workplace.

Rated out of 100 points, the index is based on 4 or 5 criteria, depending on the size of the company.

Blue Paper calculates its index on 4 criteria:

  • The gender pay gap,
  • The gap in the distribution of individual pay rises,
  • The number of female employees who receive a pay rise when they return from maternity leave,
  • Parity among the 10 highest earners.

Blue Paper is also required to sign an agreement on professional equality. This was signed in June 2022 and will be renegotiated in 2025.

Our social policy actions have resulted in a score of 93% for 2024.

By way of comparison, in 2023, the average score reported by companies was 88%.
