Shared collection of paper and cardboard waste from Port du Rhin companies

Blue Paper is one of the first companies to have integrated a pioneering industrial ecology approach based on the circular economy in Alsace. In 2013, CLES (Coopérations Locales et Environnementales en Synergie) was set up to create a network of synergies between companies in the Port du Rhin. The aim of this approach is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies, reduce their environmental impact on the region and also encourage local roots through concrete actions. One of the first actions to be taken was the joint collection of paper and cardboard waste from neighbouring industrial companies, which is then recycled by Blue Paper.More information on the project Blue Paper is involved in other synergies, the most important of which is the recovery of its waste heat to heat neighbouring homes and industries.
